Personal Description:

Bonjour, my name is Saida and I offer Online Lessons as well as in person in a local cafe or at Tutor's home.
I am a native French speaker. I come from Troyes, a medieval town located in the Champagne Region. I now live between Hertford and Ware.

I moved to England in 2000 and qualified as a modern foreign language teacher. I am also an experienced private tutor as well as a professional speaker specialising in talks on French culture on topics ranging from champagne, fashion, art and history.

My French lessons are mainly dedicated to adult learners.

1-to-1 lessons :
One lesson per week or every other week: £25 each lesson / 1h

Then once a month - if you want to - we can meet-up for free over a coffee with all the other learners to give everybody a chance to practice what they learnt.

Teaching Experience:

All learners are very happy with the pace and content of each lesson done via skype. Lessons are as interactive as being with the learner on a one-to-one basis.
I managed to use the same resources I would normally use when I am at the learner`s home or at my own place. Listening and speaking skills are much more highlighted when lessons are done online. Written and reading activities are used as a learning and practice platform.
Learner's learning progress is easily monitored since our lessons can be recorded and saved for future reference or listening practice.

After a few years tutoring French to various students and adults, I came to the simple conclusion that no matter how dedicated and focused you are on learning your vocabulary lists or practising endless exercises on French grammar, self-confidence can only blossom when you are prepared to mix-up with other learners or even better with French native speakers.

The success of your learning can only take place if you allow yourself to embrace mistakes!
Making mistakes, struggling with words and pronunciation, feeling hesitant or awkward is part of the learning process but trust me… it is bound to pay off if you don`t give up !

Teaching Approach:

My main priority is to make sure that your first steps in French are fun and relaxing with a sense of achievement and progress after each lesson.

You will be learning French so you can practice straight away your speaking and listening skills via a variety of resources (mainly visual and auditory) and using teaching methods to fit your learning needs and abilities.
