Personal Description:

Hello! I'm Paula.
I was born in Spain but I am half Scottish as well!
I hold a BA English as a Second language and a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Languages, both with distinction from the University of the West of Scotland.
My teaching experience is diverse. During the last years I have been teaching English to refugees and private English and Spanish lessons to adults. In previous years, I have taught both English and Spanish in Spain to children in Private and public schools as well as to adults.

I'm very friendly, love travelling and discovering other cultures. I am very organised and I have a very flexible teaching style that adapts to you specific needs.

Teaching Experience:

I have 5 years of language teaching experience in many different contexts. During the last year I have been teaching English to refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland as well as private English and Spanish lessons to adults. In the previous years I have worked in Spain and Scotland working in English summer camps, public and private schools with young children (from 3 years old) to teenagers and adults and in different levels from beginners to advanced language earners.

This has allowed me to develop a flexible teaching style that adapts to the needs of each individual learner (exam preparation, language beginners, speaking fluency etc… ) using different teaching methods and resources.

Teaching Approach:

I try to make language learning as engaging and enjoyable as possible using different methods and resources and adapting to the learner's needs. Some people like to focus more on speaking practice or exam preparation, other people just want an introduction to the language and others are advanced learners who want to develop their skills a bit further, so my teaching approach will vary depending on your own needs and requirements.
