Information About Paul - Sheffield teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Paul:
I am a native English speaker, a Cambridge University-accredited CELTA teacher with more than 30 years’ professional experience as a writer, journalist and teacher.
I started my career as a journalist, then became a full-time professional writer. I have had twelve novels for adults published and three for children. I have also written television and film scripts.
More recently, I qualified as a CELTA teacher and branched out into teaching English to speakers of other languages because I love the interaction with students and the opportunity to help them with their English.
I have also undertaken British Council training in teaching IELTS.
I have taught English language one-to-one in Italy, and for small groups at language schools in Sheffield.
I specialise in one-to-one teaching because I believe this is the best way for students to receive personal attention and improve their English
I believe in teaching English as it’s used in the real world today, so I use a lot of contemporary materials such as video and audio extracts, newspaper and magazine articles, as well as a range of recommended textbooks.
I am a committed, enthusiastic teacher. I aim to encourage and support my students, to build their confidence and competence in all areas of the English language and make it fun at the same time. The more enjoyable it is, the more you will learn.
My lessons can be tailored to your individual needs.
Perhaps you want to work on your spoken English, for work, or for studying, or for social situations.
Perhaps you need help with an essay, or a report or other written work.
Perhaps you have a job interview coming up and you need help with a presentation or practice at answering questions.
Perhaps you are doing IELTS and need help to reach your desired level.
For all these situations – and many more – I can prepare lessons that will be stimulating and challenging and will help you achieve your goals.
I look forward to working with you.
