Personal Description:

Hello! Salut !

My name’s Paige, and I love teaching and learning French! If you’re looking to brush up your skills, supplement your classes or to start out from scratch, let’s connect.

I’ve tutored students from a variety of backgrounds, including year 7s, GCSE students and adult beginners - so wherever you are in you're learning, I can adapt to your needs.

I thoroughly enjoy learning - I even won my school's leavers prize for Enthusiasm for Learning! Thanks to a lot of determination, hard work, and support, I have attained the highest grades in all of my exams. I have a First Class Hons in my degree in French Literature and Language. I have great tips and techniques to share with you, to make your learning easier, more effective, and thoroughly enjoyable.
I have spent a lot of time in France and other French-speaking countries - working in Paris, studying in Montpellier, volunteering in Calais, and, most recently, making friends on my exciting travels in Morocco and Senegal. I am passionate about languages and cultures. I love bringing language to life - whilst also addressing all of my students’ grammar queries!

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring French since 2016. This has mostly been around Hertfordshire. I am happy to either welcome students into my home or to travel to their’s, as suits. I also have experience in teaching groups. I previously taught French and English to classes of adults seeking asylum in Calais, and last year I taught English to teenagers in Senegal.

Teaching Approach:

I have a friendly, creative, and informal approach. Each person has their own particular needs, strengths and weaknesses, aims and learning style. I can help with improving confidence, enjoyment and energy for the subject. I believe that for learning to stick and to be worthwhile it has to be holistic - especially where languages are concerned.
I use a variety of techniques, including images, rhymes and songs, repetition and reenforcement, movement and effective note taking. These are all techniques that I have used through the years of my own learning, and I will gladly share with others.

I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have. À bientôt !
