Hi! Bonjour! Bom dia :) Are you looking to learn French or Portuguese? Or do you just need help with your exams? If so, you've found the right person.
I have been tutoring for 3 years and have over 2000+ hours experience.

Although I'm English born, I come from a Portuguese background and am therefore fluent in two languages. I also speak French. Having done a year abroad as part of my degree (Erasmus), it helped me to really develop my French oral skills. I lived and studied in Paris for 7 months so I am familiar with French culture, history and literature. I did the second part of my year abroad in Lisboa.

Teaching Experience:

○Teaching Assistant at First Class Learning (2 years)
Helping younger children (ages 5-12) with Maths and English on a one-to-one teaching approach. Assisted many students with learning difficulties.

○ French Teaching Assistant at LSU Secondary School
Helping GCSE French students prepare for their oral French exams through practice mock speaking tests. Leading French grammar lessons.

○I also recently ran some official GCSE Portuguese Oral exams in a school in Islington.

○Three years working as a Portuguese and French tutor.

Teaching Approach:

I aim to provide solid knowledge of what I am teaching, whilst also paying attention to the needs of the individual. For younger learners I like to motivate them by testing their comprehension with games and problems. I make sure the individual is understanding what I am teaching by making regular pauses and ensuring they have understood the material either by asking them to summarize what has just been said, or doing a quick mini test.

Most importantly, I hope to show great passion for what I am teaching, and this will encourage the student to also be passionate in their learning. I try to make the material as interesting as possible in order to achieve the best results. I am open to either following the student's needs (help with their weekly homework), or planning the lessons myself using the curriculum.

I always try to build on the students strengths and encourage them with positive words.
