Information About Nathan - Cheltenham teacher
I was born with permanently itch feet. Upon graduating from university in 2012 I moved to Istanbul to improve my Turkish and get to know another culture. From there I took on the position of journalist for a business news service and travelled the world from Brazil to Papua New Guinea providing research and analysis for a variety of industry based publications. Currently based between Stroud and Cheltenham working on some projects closer to home and looking to earn some extra money tutoring.
6 months working as a British Council language assistant at a secondary school in Spain 5 months teaching private English classes in a range of schools in Turkey to individuals and groups Taught basic Spanish to primary school children throughout my AS and A level years
I believe that learning a language goes hand in hand with understanding a new culture. Rather than focus on boring grammatical exercises or endless repetition, it is important to generate enthusiasm for a language by demonstrating its practical applications and the very real benefits that arise through the acquisition of new linguistic skills.
