Hello, my name is Maria and I was born and raised in Greece. I am a Qualified Teacher specialized in Primary Education and I have a great deal of experience working with various age groups from very young children to young adults.
I have recently graduated from Birmingham City University, with a Master's degree in Arts and Education practices with distinction and I am in the process of applying for PhDs.
I have been in the U.K. for 5 years and I currenlty work as a supply teacher in KS1/KS2 with a teaching **Contact Detail Removed** around Manchester and I also teach Greek as second language at the Hellenic school of Manchester.
I am passionate about education and the use of art. I am very interested in alternative ways of teaching and learning using arts as a powerful tool and I strongly believe that as long as the brain is not prohibited from fulfilling its normal processes, learning will occur.
I am an experienced and confident teacher, who will make sure the lessons will be of a high standard. Over the last 8 years I have acquired a great deal of experience in teaching various age groups from primary years to adulthood. This flexibility has allowed me to continuously assess my teaching strategies and implement successful elements from across all these different stages where applicable.
I am a flexible tutor with a keen attention to detail and a calm teaching approach, characterised by patience, humour, motivation and rewarding.
I believe that each of us has a unique way of learning, so it is important for learners to understand their own learning styles and preferences.
There are various theories and approaches to teaching and learning, which I have practised throughout my teaching years.

I'm happy with a way how we have our lessons and even homework is so helpful to have a practice on the rules we learn during a lesson
