Personal Description:

My name is Marcela. I am a native Spanish speaker, originally from Argentina and I am a British citizen. I hold a professional academic degree (PhD) as a research scientist and I became Spanish tutor 6 years ago. I offer Spanish language tutoring, in particular, for adult students at all levels (absolute beginners to advanced and casual and/or professional learners). Also, I have experienced tutoring to GCSE, A-level and University Spanish students.

I am a passionate teacher, willing to teach you Spanish while exchanging the Spanish and British culture experiences. Having persuaded myself a professional career and also having personal interests in travelling and exploring different cultures, my Spanish courses are adapted to the interest of my tutees (personal or professional interest).

I teach, face to face, from my home in my beloved Liverpool (only at 5 minutes on foot from Orrell Park Train Station).

Teaching Experience:

Teaching Approach:

I am a passionate teacher, willing to teach you Spanish while exchanging the Spanish and British culture experiences.

I teach, face to face, from my home. My classes take place in a relaxed atmosphere, around a cup of tea/coffee and cookies.

My Spanish courses are organised in weekly classes, 90 minutes per class. The material used in the class (for the current course) is provided and included in the price (beginners-intermediate £30 per class and student; advanced/fluent £20 per 60 minutes)

I offer one-to-one Spanish lessons (or two-to-one if you are willing to invite a family /friend to join you for the lessons).

I am a professional with a personal interest in travelling and to explore different cultures. In my classes, while you learn the Spanish language, the cultural exchange (e.g. British-Spanish) is very important.

My Spanish courses are adapted to the learning interest of my tutees (personal/ casual or professional interest). My tutees may be interested to learn Spanish in order to communicate with Spanish speakers when you visit Spain or other Spanish speaker countries or just for the joy of learning this beautiful language (casual learners). Or my tutees may learn this language professionally for daily basis usage or to improve your CV. I am a scientist and I offer Spanish classes adapted to the tutee's professional need. All these particular interests will be considered, together with their language level, when I plan and offer you “my Spanish courses for you”.
