Personal Description:

¡Hola amigos!

I am a native Spanish tutor from Mallorca, Spain with many years of experience teaching in the UK.
I am a qualified experienced PGCE Spanish teacher with a BA in Modern Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting.

I have been a language student myself and I know what the journey is like. Learning a foreign language, feel confident and speak it fluently is not easy but I am here to help you and make you love it.
I specialise in offering private language tuition to young students preparing for their Spanish IGCSE/GCSE and A Level exams as well as adults passionate about the Spanish language and willing to learn Spanish to increase professional opportunities. My teaching will always be adapted to your needs.

One thing is sure: You will learn and get to speak the language. Due to my teaching strategies and approaches, students progress and improve significantly in their grades, boost their confidence and feel eager to keep learning Spanish. Some of my students have taken leadership to run the Spanish club to show interesting facts about Spain and motivate other fellow students to learn Spanish

Margarita, is full of life, and full of innovative ideas to teach. Margarita will go to extreme lengths to involve the student, making up fun exercises that convey the new language to the student. She has even dropped these off to our home address on a weekend. Margarita is also a very happy person person, which is quite infectious!

Margarita is very helpful, patient, and encouraging, and focuses the lesson plans on areas that need the most practice. The homework probes my abilities and helps to strengthen what I`ve learned each lesson.

Teaching Approach:

My aim is to make the student gain fluency and confidence when using the language in all its aspects using all skills and I do it in a very different way from the traditional approach (using a Communicative Approach and Descriptive Integrated Grammar Skill). What a better way to get to know a language than having fun learning it! I love languages and I've been taught by so many different teachers that unfortunately most of them made me notice what I didn't want to do when teaching and how I didn't want to teach a foreign language. So I guess somehow I should be grateful for that :)

Tutoring Approach:
My teaching method and strategies focus on engaging my students in the activities and topics discussed in a way to boost their confidence and encourage them to use the language actively. My personality has always helped in the way I teach and the effect my lessons have as I am very enthusiastic, energetic, patient and very resourceful. My lessons are always tailored to suit my students` individual learning needs and objectives. My clients find my classes fun, memorable and very effective.

As a teacher, I understand the importance of taking official exams and passing tests. However, my love for passing knowledge and inspire others go beyond that and my teaching is aimed to motivate you and get to speak Spanish fluently.
