Personal Description:

I'm a native Arabic speaker with a BA degree in Translation/Interpretation of English and Arabic. I'm experienced in tutoring Arabic to both children and adults for academic and tourism purposes and teaching learners who are interested in being able to understand and communicate in Modern Standard Arabic or everyday spoken Arabic (Levantine and Iraqi dialect). I also have experience teaching beginner English to adults.

I love teaching languages as I find it rewarding and so much fun. I can see the progress of my students and how their knowledge grows over time which is very exciting and makes me happy. It's always wonderful to see my students progress in that way and be able to use what I taught them to communicate whether in Arabic or in English

Teaching Experience:

Seven years of one-to-one Arabic tutoring
Two years experience in the classroom as one-to-one bilingual assistant for children whose first language is either Arabic or Swedish.
Two years experience of tutoring adults English as a second language.

Teaching Approach:

I first meet with my students and go through an assessment with them which helps me understand their aims, evaluate their level and to tailor-make their lessons according to their needs. I also try to identify their best learning styles which helps me make my future lessons as effective, engaging and exciting as possible. I value and encourage active learning. I prepare a variety of tasks/activities in advance using cards, songs and power point presentations and provide supplementary printed study material from time to time, all of which designed to help my students make the most of their learning experience.

- 10% discount for every 10 lessons booked and paid in advance.
- £10 Discount per hour for a second student so any two students attending lessons together can pay only £25 per hour each.
- A special price for group lessons can be negotiated.
