Information About Karin - Macclesfield teacher - (3 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Karin:
I am originally from Cologne in Germany but have lived in Macclesfield since 1982. I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for languages and foreign cultures. Bilingual in English and German, I also speak French fairly fluently, understand Dutch, know enough Spanish to get by on holiday and currently I am attending a course in Modern Greek. I love travelling and good food, am passionate about yoga and generally enjoy the “Good Life”.
I worked as a language assistant at UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology) for 3 years. I taught (and examined) grammar and spoken language and my students ranged from complete beginners to final year students. I also have some experience of teaching on a one-to-one basis.
My lessons are tailored to meet the needs of individuals. I can teach for exam preparation, revision, leisure and business. My aim is to make lessons as interesting and relevant as possible and to ensure that students achieve their full potential. While I favour a fun and relaxed approach, I strongly believe in the importance a good grounding in grammar.
I prefer to tutor at home, but would also be willing to travel if necessary.
