Hello, Goedendag! I originally hail from Denmark, but with native proficiency in Dutch, English and with a working knowledge of German. I am passionate about sharing this knowledge so that doors around the world can open for you! I can take you from the basics of the mentioned languages as I did during my work in China, to the level of academic writing in Dutch and English. If there are any specific forms of the language you want to master, we can easily adapt your curriculum to your demands.
I have experience teaching conversational English to middle school children in Guangzhou China. This was done through mutliple fieldtrips where they engaged in a variety of activities building on and expending their knowledge and proficiency. The last couple months I spend tutoring grade K4 to K6 in Hong Kong. This was through class based activities and one on one tutoring.
Besides this my fellow students at the University of Aberdeen regularly ask me for advise with their essay writing. My field is predominantly Humanities, yet PR and journalism are also within my scope. In addition I also help students from abroad to practice their informal English.
The center of teaching is the student. Everything starts with what you want and what you need. No matter what you level is, and what your goal is, we can find a way for you to reach this. If you are not living at a location where the language that you want to learn is not spoken regularly, I can provide you with a multitude of ways to incorporate language learning in you day to day lives. This will help convey the the breadth and depth of the language you want to learn. We will build on these activities, the lessons that you may have at school or construct a teaching program tailored to you needs.
