Information About Ilaria - Southwark teacher
I am an visual artist and a musician. I love the arts, music and literature. I was born in Florence in 1967, I studied at the Institute of Art of Florence from 1981 to 1986, and have a diploma in graphic design and photography. I studied Humanities and Cinema Studies as a part time student at the University of Florence, and graduated in Italian Language and Literature in 1996. I have been working as a freelance video-maker and editor for over 20 years. I started teaching in between jobs since I moved to London in 1997. I attended a training course for teachers at Westminster Adult Education Centre in 2004 and obtained a City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Delivering Learning.
I have been teaching for about 15 years, my experience of teaching ranges from Italian Language to Art, Photography and Video-making.
Since coming to London in 1997, I taught Italian to a number of private students, adults and children, from complete beginners to advanced students, on a one-to-one basis and in groups.
I am currently teaching one private student who is been under my tutoring for about 18 months and has recently passed her GCSE exams in Italian with the highest grades.
I combine elements of grammar and phonetic with conversation, reading, listening and writing exercises. I assess each student`s objectives and personal learning style to create a course that meet their specific requirements. I use a variety of material to create learning programs which enable students to learn while enjoying the process.
