I graduated in 1992 with a joint BA (Hons) in European Business Studies after spending 4 years at Hull University and at the Ecole Superieur de Commerce at Bordeaux in France. I worked in as an Export Sales Manager for 10 years then in 2006, I re-trained with Le Club Francais and became self-employed teaching French to children and adults. I love the work I do - I am passionate about teaching and understand the importance of connecting with my tutees on a personal level so they build confidence and accuracy in learning French as a foreign language.
Licensee for after-school French Clubs for primary-aged children with Le Club Francais (3yrs - 11 yrs)
10 Years experience teaching at GCSE & A level
Small adult groups
Previously employed by several Chester primary schools as a specialist language teacher teaching during PPA.
I will first of all arrange an informal meeting with the client to assess the current level or spoken and written work. This will enable me to understand the tutees current level of French and to establish which areas of the French language I will need to concentrate on.
My aim is to build confidence in my tutees in all the key areas (written, spoken, aural and reading) and to focus on the correct pronounciation at all times.

Emma is really easy to be around. She has a happy disposition, is polite and professional and we're keepng her :)
The younger with GCSE- a very reluctant linguist now seems far less frightened of the subject. It was over the Christmas holidays and they both were reluctant to work at this time but both said they learned a great deal from their time with Emma and it was very worthwhile.
She kindly came to the house and was punctual and kept to time well. She was also very accommodating regarding times to suit them both at what would have been a busy time of year for her too.
