This is how 2 referees rated Caterina:
I am third year DPhil student at Oxford University. My main area of research focuses on the translations from the Classics in the Novecento Italiano (20th-century Italian literature). In particular, my thesis deals with the poetic translations of the poets Camillo Sbarbaro and Giovanna Bemporad, and their contribution to the reception of Greek tragedy in the Italian literary scene. More generally, as a classicist, my interests lie in the modes of transmission and reception of the social function of poetry in Classical civilisation (as expressed by performance) across centuries and languages through translation.
