Personal Description:

I am a professional lawyer from Colombia (country of origin). I studies Law at university and then completed a Masters Degree in Business.

Teaching Experience:

I act as a tutor for other professionals and students (Primary and Secondary School, Sixth Form and University) and thereby respectively create a plan for every tutee in order to meet their individual goals. This may entail invigorating their vocabulary, speaking or written skills with enjoyable and simple tasks every week.

I have a flexible time schedule. This therefore makes me able to adapt my time into your daily routines, be it; arranging a lesson around someones working hours, going to a university (based in London), going to the tutee's home or meeting in a central location which best suits the client.

Teaching Approach:

I create individual and therefore unique programmes for my tutees dependant on their needs.

From Mark (5/5): I would recommend Carmen as a tutor to anyone who would like to learn how to speak, read or listen to Spanish. She makes learning interesting and fun, but most of all as a student I would learn. I found that she would adapt her lessons to the level that would best suit me to enable me to understand and for my learning to progress. Carmen has an excellent style of teaching, she is professional and has a patient and kind manner. Her lessons are well varied between comprehension, reading, and conversations in Spanish and at the right level for the learner. She uses a variety of teaching aids, which further supports the learning process.
