Information About Asa - Reading teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Asa:
I am a student of BA South Asian Studies at SOAS, University of London. I am fluent in French, German and Urdu. I have spent time working and living in France, Germany and Luxembourg as well as studying in India. I have a wide knowledge of cultural and linguistic diversity across the French and German speaking world. I am also very well acquainted with gcse and a-level syllabi in the UK for French and German.
I have spent time working as a German Language Assistant at Reading School, helping students prepare for speaking exams in German, I also have a number of years of experience tutoring and teaching both French and German privately.
In addition to this I have lived and worked in France, Germany and Luxembourg and have attained a near-native level in both languages.
I believe that everyone has the ability to learn languages and do well in exams if they work hard. I love learning languages and have a huge passion for French, German and Urdu in particular, this passion is something that comes across in my teaching. I believe that it is important that the student enjoys the learning process so I always make an effort to plan lessons according to the students' interests. Using a variety of media is hugely important for a rounded language learning experience, as such I gather learning resources from not just textbooks but also magazines, videos, newspapers and music.
I enjoy introducing students to authentic media from the native countries of the languages they are learning and I believe it is vital to give students to skills to use their languages in real life situations.
In addition to this, I also believe that GCSE and A-level examinations are simply a set of specific skills in the target language and I have an abundance of tips and tricks gathered through years of learning and teaching experience that ensure exam success.
