Information About Andrew - Highgate teacher - (1 review)
Personal Description:
I am research student and teaching fellow at King's College London, in the third year of a PhD in Classics and History. I offer bespoke language classes to professionals and academics looking to speak or write English at advanced levels
Teaching Experience:
I am/have tutored English to both adults and children at beginners and advanced levels and I have wide ranging experience of editing and proof reading academic work produced by non-native English students.
Teaching Approach:
I design a session around a mixture of writing, reading, listening and conversation activities relevant to the student's own professional requirements or personal interests. This can encompass presentations, analysis of texts, reading newspaper articles, responding to a TV programme or discussing a favourite film or book. Each lesson explores a theme through a range of different exercises and media to enable repetition of important vocabulary and grammar without the learning process becoming mundane.
I will also check essays, presentations or reports and advise on grammar and style.
