Information About Andrew - Torquay teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Andrew:
I have a business background in hotels, restaurants and various other catering types, as well as a variety of other businesses and over 25 years as a teacher. I have lived in France and Germany - where I ran a company; I speak French and German and a little Italian. I have a large family and live in the south west of the UK. My main interests include travelling and - not surprisingly - food and drink!
I've been a teacher for about 27 years, starting in hospitality management, then moving into general business studies and, finally, for around 10 years, now, English as a foreign language, as well as to English native-speakers who need a boost - especially schoolchildren.
I've taught students from at least 40 different countries - from elementary to proficiency levels, in groups and 1 to 1 and both general and business English. I've also taught on **Contact Detail Removed**.
I have great patience (of course!), good analysis and planning abilities and a neutral, standard accent. I most strongly believe in the importance of clear speaking as the main basis of good English - or any other language.
1 Clear analysis of needs, wishes, expectations, goals, time available and commitment.
2 Mutually agreed planning of programme to match the above, within time and financial constraints.
3 Agreed progress check-points to ensure expectations are being met. Constant monitoring and adaptation should needs change.
4 Tests incorporated if required.
5 I can often deliver intensive, short programmes tailor-made for business, academic or personal needs.
6 I have a substantial library of recognised textbooks and own material from which to choose that which is appropriate to any individual student's requirements.
