Information About Anam - Leicester teacher

Personal Description:

I am a French native and have been living in the UK since 1999. I absolutely love languages and I am currently learning Greek and Italian. I went to school in France and after moving here followed the rest of my academic journey in England. I have continued to study French and Spanish at school, college and university level, therefore having a sound idea of the structure of language learning programs/syllabuses in schools and colleges.

I have a BA in Modern Languages with Management (with Honors) and an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Leicester. This has given me the expertise on not only French and Spanish language but also a vast amount of general and cultural knowledge on both Francophone and Hispanic worlds. As part of my degree, I also spent a year abroad in Pau, France and in Louvain la Neuve, Belgium as well as spending 5 weeks traveling around Spain.

I am passionate about languages and speak 6 languages altogether: French, English, Spanish, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. I consider French and English to be my mother tongues as I am equally confident in both.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught English to two young students whilst abroad in the south of France.

I have also been a Freelance after school tutor in schools in the midlands whilst I was a student at university.

I currently also have 2 private tutees (one for French and one for Spanish) who are doing very well and happy with their progress. (also my referees on the system)

Teaching Approach:

I like to find out what motivates students to learn a language or sometimes the lack of it. This then allows me to develop a strategy to engage the student in language learning with a genuine interest which triggers interest in the student and makes language learning an enjoyable experience.
