Personal Description:

Hi there, How are you? My name is Amaan, and I am a 23-year-old Brit, born and raised in London. I am a recent university graduate with a degree in International Development from the University of Sussex near Brighton. How would I define myself? I am friendly, enthusiastic, patient and love talking to people. But more than anything, I love the feeling of personal growth and helping others achieve this too!

Let me tell you a bit more about myself. I love to run and go to the gym, and I am a big fan of football (soccer) - my team is Manchester United. I also used to be a dancer, where I trained regularly for 10 years - performing and competing across the country. Not only that, but I am also a film and music enthusiast - horror, action, comedy, rock, hip-hop, folk - I watch and listen to everything and I also play the guitar.

However, one of my favourite things to do is travel! Whenever I can, I love to adventure through different parts of the world and my travels have taken me through Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Maybe I have been to your country or even your city…

Teaching Experience:

I have 2 years of experience teaching English - both in person and online. I have taught several students in my local area focusing on improving their conversational skills, and I have also taught students online from Japan and Korea, specifically helping with their comprehension skills. My students have been at all levels and ages, so I have experience teaching a variety of people.

Teaching Approach:

I love teaching all levels of English, and my teaching style adapts to the student. Classes can be fun and laid-back or detailed and more focused. I am happy to help students on grammar and language structure, natural conversation skills and even specific topics. If you have something you want to work on, let me know!

Above all, I am an upbeat and patient person with a background in many areas of knowledge, from history to current affairs to music and even sport. I am a native English speaker but also speak Spanish, so I know what it is like to learn a new language. Ultimately, my focus is on you and improving your English skills, wherever you may be in your language learning journey!
