Information About Alma - Chepstow teacher - (3 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Alma:
I am a Mexican living in Chepstow, Wales; for more than 7 years.
I like to travel to different places of the world and to know different cultures and people. I love cooking and in my practical classes I include recipes to cook Mexican, Spanish and vegetarian food.
As a traveller I know the importance of knowing another language and especially Spanish, which is the second most spoken in the world.
I am a graduate in Business Administration with a Master's degree in Commercial Strategy and Total Quality.
I worked for 20 years as a manager, participating in conferences and training workshops.
For 6 years I have been a University professor and for the last year and a half I have been the a Spanish Tutor for the County of Monmouthshire, Community Learning with groups of more than 6 students currently.
I have been a Spanish Tutor for the U3A in Chepstow for more than 4 years, and for Chepstow Hub adult education more than 7 years, and Wyedean Adult Education for 3 years. And also private lesson 7 years trough FIRST TUTORS.
In all this time I have been very satisfied with the achievements of my students as well as with the pleasant experience of accompanying them in order to learn Spanish.
This experience has been an adventure with happy and enthusiastic people.
I am an empathic person that besides using organized teaching with different learning techniques and resources, such as: short films, videos, games, reading comprehension, etc. I specialize in adapting to the different learning models of each student, as well as knowing what their specific needs are, their tastes and interests and their objectives in learning the language.
Each session is designed to encourage the student to start speaking from the first day, practising all the techniques to improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing and comprehension.
For me it is very important not only to teach the language but also the general knowledge of the Spanish-speaking cultures; such as: ideology, history, music, gastronomy, tourist sites, art, customs and city life.
Each session is special and takes place in an entertaining, fun and trustful environment.
