Information About Alexandra - Ealing teacher

Personal Description:

My name is Alexandra and I am native English speaker qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language. I am passionate about using language to communicate with and understand each other. I live in West London with my family and my dog but have lived overseas for many years.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching English to non-native speakers for the past nine years both one-to-one and in a classroom. I began helping professionals with their presentation skills and have progressed from there. I have also spent several years teaching as a host teacher welcoming students to my home where we learn together, as well as living as part of my family and exploring London. I enjoy teaching all age groups and have a lot of experience teaching young learners as well as adults. Whilst I was living overseas I spent three years teaching children in a migrant workers school which opened my eyes to challenges they face. I have recently been teaching classes online and am growing in confidence using this platform!

Teaching Approach:

I'm an enthusiastic teacher and encourage my students to participate as much as possible. I always tailor lessons and materials to the needs of the student and am happy teaching all skills from speaking and pronunciation to writing and grammar. I strongly believe that everyone at every level has the ability to communicate with enough confidence, support and encouragement.
