As well as proffering good advice and tutoring, she listens well to what I want to get out of learning German. Further, of all the tutors I came across on First Tutors she was the only one in my area who agreed to face-to-face sessions, which is what I really wanted, rather than on-line only. In this way it is much easier for me to go through books, and get a fuller understanding from her about syntax and grammar that I do not get on Duolingo which I use daily as groundwork. Exactly what I hoped to find. Andrea seems to really understand how best to teach people by introducing concepts really clearly but then not allowing things to be too easy and comfortable meaning the knowledge consolidates well. Could not recommend more and really excited to keep learning with him!

Angela taught my two teenage kids and was always well prepared ahead of each lesson. She utilised a variety of resources to keep lessons interesting, including textbooks, videos and apps. Angela established great rapport with my kids who really enjoyed her lessons and she was able to get them fully engaged with the learning process. Angela was flexible with regards to rescheduling lessons when we couldn’t make our usual day/time. Would definitely recommend Angela as a highly competent and motivated German teacher.
