Personal Description:

I studied Languages at The University of Nottingham where I specialised in Spanish and Portuguese. After my degree I decided to become a teacher. I have gained experience teaching in a primary and secondary setting where, I specialised in teaching Spanish and French. I began my first school teaching job in London and for the last 10 years, I have developed my experience of teaching a range of age groups and abilities in a range of settings. Until recently, I have taught full time in local primary schools but I now prefer to focus on my private tuition work. In my free time, I enjoy travelling and I have lived abroad in Spain and Portugal. I also hold a TEFL qualification and have had extensive experience working in Summer language schools teaching English as a Foreign language and activity leading.

Teaching Experience:

I first decided to become a teacher during my language degree when I undertook a TEFL training course and began to spend my Summers teaching young people English as a foreign language, taking young people on excursions, trips and leading activities. I have completed my PGCE year where I gained experience teaching in Primary and Secondary Schools. I began my first school teaching job and NQT year in a London Primary school where I taught full time for 2-3 years across a wide age range. Subsequently, I relocated to East Sussex where I have taught in a local primary and preparatory school full time. There, I enjoyed encouraging young people to get into languages by running my own language clubs. I now have decided to focus on my private work and continue to tutor both children and adults one-to-one and in small groups. I thoroughly enjoy this style of teaching as you can see rapid progress and I can focus my full attention on the individual and their learning needs.

Teaching Approach:

I customise my classes according to the learner's ability, needs and requirements. I teach one-to-one and group classes.
