Personal Description:
I have been teaching Mandarin for 3 years and have a Masters in Chinese. I have lived in China for 2 years and speak fluent Mandarin. I have a very patient approach and encourage my students to try and express anything - even with a limited vocabulary.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught Mandarin to both adults and children. I have several years teaching Mandarin and fully believe a strong foundation in the tones is the key to continuing success. I have made many mistakes as a learner and believe that these can actually assist learning rather than impede.
Teaching Approach:
I add lots of cultural, background and historical information to my lessons - and having visited China over 50 times - there is no shortage of material here! Learning to master Mandarin is a marathon, not a sprint, and I can help you along that journey and ensure it is as enjoyable as possible.
