Truly was and am terrified of speaking Korean but can say my lessons with Jun over the last 4 months have been the most helpful, fun and encouraging I could have asked for as I was scared going into lessons with a native speaker and personally working through being insecure with my lack of knowledge/capability I love the vocab sheets and other learning material I learn off - I feel my ability to memorise information greatly improving and I know a lot more than I did when I was attempting to learn solo. There is great variety in materials and how lessons are structured that has made it interactive and provides the opportunity to utilise and consolidate previous weeks/months of learning. Feedback on vocab and learning has been amazing for ensuring consistency and I greatly appreciate the time and effort afforded outside of lesson time to provide feedback and support. Having a teacher with clear expectations that supports and drives learning in lessons and outside of lesson time has been amazing to drive me to stay on track while ensuring that I am saying things correctly has helped my confidence in trying to speak korean. 10/10 would recommend Jun as a teacher and hope to have as much time possible as his student

I’ve been learning with sunyung for 5 weeks now and have had a great time! she explains everything well making it easy to understand and i feel like i’m learning very quickly. sunyung is also a nice and funny person who is easy to get along with so the lessons are very comfortable :) i’d definitely recommend her as a tutor for you!

I’ve been having lessons with Jun for about 2 months now, and have found him to be excellent. I’d previously tried self-studying, and found that while I was moving through the lessons I wasn’t really internalising information or learning how to use it. In contrast I feel like I’m now making progress, and can imagine myself becoming confident in Korean which I think realistically wouldn’t be otherwise possible. Jun prepares all his own material, and has a strong focus on speaking and getting things right. We always review previous material to make sure it sticks, so the lessons tend to be about 1/3 each new material, speaking practice, and reviewing previous material. The emphasis on speaking really helps build confidence, which is great for me as I tend to be shy with new languages. Jun is also a very dedicated and motivational teacher. Like others have said, I always look forward to the next lesson even though I know it will be challenging. I feel encouraged to study outside of lesson time, and Jun makes time to give feedback on pronunciation and answer questions during the week which is incredibly kind and helpful. Overall great guy, I’d strongly recommend getting lessons with Jun.

I have had three lessons with 미림씨 and I am really enjoying my lesson time. She is very good with helping to remember previous phrases and pronounciation and is understanding that some of the sounds are difficult for a westerner and is not too strict, working towards perfection rather than immediately demanding it. She is also very flexible with times for lessons as I work shifts so I cannot do the same time every week. I am sure I will continue to enjoy future lessons with 미림씨 and highly recommend her. She is always on time, patient, polite and professional but very friendly and is great at explaining Korean history and culture which is appreciated when understanding Korean grammar and phraseology.

She has a very organised structure to each class, which helps consolidate and affirm the topic. She encourages when mistakes are made and supports areas where practice is required. She has also helped with setting homework from each lesson and guides how best to practice at home.
