Information About Nikolaos - Acton trainer - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Nikolaos:
I am a first year Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College London. I have been using Solidworks, which I will be teaching, for 6 years now and view it as a great tool for creation. I am a Maker at heart and use Solidworks to create and recreate objects. I have self-taught Solidworks, going from basic Extrude Commands, to complicated Surface modeling, to Fluid and Stress analysis simulations. I have reached the point where I used Solidworks Flow Simulation to write my IB Extended Essay and the Surface modeling to enter and display my work in the European Maker Faire in Rome, as the first and only independent Underage Maker.
I was the teaching assisstant of the Engineering Design club of my school for the last two years of my tuition, teaching younger students on how to use it and how to construct a CAD-oriented view of creating.
Unlike other trainers, that prefer to use linear prewritten instructions, I use real-world objects and teach soliworks features through recreating them. I also try to present real world simple problems that can be solved by a single object for making everyday life simpler, and presenting approaches to create that problem
Also optional is an introduction and teaching of 3D printing, how to model with the intention of printing and how to successfully print objects.
