Personal Description:

I am a research fellow at the University of Oxford. I work on artificial intelligence and machine learning. I have PhD in computer science from Imperial College London and an MSc in computer science from the University of Oxford. I have also worked at the University of Cambridge and been a visiting researcher at MIT. I have also worked as a research engineer in industry.

I am available most of the time in Oxford or online.

Training Experience:

I am an expert in AI, machine learning, and programming, especially Python and Prolog.

I have been a personal tutor for almost 10 years and have taught for the University of Oxford and Stanford University.

From Zarchi (5/5): Andrew is a terrific tutor for my 12 year old daughter. Before the lessons, she knew very little about coding but now she is very confident with it. A lot of materials were covered in an hour and he clearly explained each one effectively.

From Alexander (5/5): Andrew has been an excellent tutor. His approach to tutoring is to help you build on each previous step at a rate comfortable to you. He is very patient and explains everything very clearly using many and varied examples to help you understand the point.

Andrew has been teaching me Python and at the same time helping me understand the fundamentals of computer science. This has helped me not only understand the code i am writing but the bigger picture and wider applications of what I am doing.

His teaching approach is based on solving problems through functional programming and his patience and friendliness make it easy to progress through all levels.
