Styles of dance taught:
Improvisation / Choreography
I'm a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher. At the moment I'm working as a freelance dance artist, performing in different projects and teaching private lessons as well teaching for dance schools in Warwickshire and Birmingham.
I started dancing when I was ten years old, since then I studied a BA in Arts with a major in Dance, a BA in Dance Education and an MA in Contemporary Dance at the London Contemporary Dance School.
Besides, alongside my dance career, I have worked as a gymnast and coach of rhythmic gymnastics for my entire life.
I love to teach and I have more than 10 years of experience working with children and adults, amateurs and professional dancers.
Dance Instruction/Teaching Experience::
I started teaching dance for toddlers and children in 2007 as a part time job. At the same time, I worked training girls from six to twelve years old to be professional rhythmic gymnasts. This preparation included ballet classes and physical preparation.
Also, for two years, I worked with children at risk, teaching them ballet, contemporary dance and creative dance.
For three years I taught different dance styles to people from different ages at a small dance school in Santiago de Chile and in 2012 I worked with a rhythmic gymnastic team, choreographing them and teaching them contemporary dance as part of their daily training.
For two years I taught contemporary dance for teenagers and creative dance for children between four and six years old at Stagecoach Performing Arts School in Leamington Spa and different styles like ballet (different levels), modern and gymnastics at LoveBallet Dance School in Southam and Warwick. At the moment I'm teaching Contemporary Classes (beginners - improvers and professional level) at DanceXchange Birmingham.
In 2014 I started working with couples who want dance lessons or a specific choreography for their wedding. This is something I really enjoy to do!
I plan my classes according to the students interests, needs and learning style. My aim is to make lessons as interactive, interesting and fun as possible and to ensure that all students achieve their full potential.
