Information about Harriet - Tring instructor

Personal Description::

Hi, my name is Harriet and I am a professional dancer, choreographer and actor. I work as a dance and drama teacher at a high level performing arts schools. I am trained in commercial, jazz, cheerleading, pom dance, heels, ballet, character, pointe work, tap, street dance, hop hop, locking, house, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theatre. My professional credits include choreography for MOVE IT and Kids London Fashion week.

Dance Instruction/Teaching Experience::

I have a BA (hons) in Dance, Theatre and Professional Practice from Coventry University, and a Diploma in Musical Theatre from KSA Academy. I have over 6 years of teaching experience with in performing arts teaching everything from entry grade LAMDA, GCSE, A-Level, Medal LAMDA and Drama School auditions. My previous students have all received distinction in their LAMDA exams, and I have helped students gain places to establishments such as 'Tring Park', 'Sylvia Youngs', 'Italia Conti', 'AMTA' and more!

Teaching Approach::

My teaching methods vary with my students. No two students work exactly the same, while I make a goal for my students to achieve, I help them all reach that goal in very different ways. I like to look at character back grounds in depth, working out their back grounds so that the understanding of the character is very clear and easier to portray. I also like to really break down the script to understand what is really happening to said character. Once you have these skills we can really get our teeth in to making a phenomenal act!
