Personal Description:

Gained a Master's in Business Administration from Lancaster University in 2001, specialising in a 15,000 word dissertation on 'The Role of Networking in Business Growth'. This was based on a company report for a real company still providing training programmes today which wanted to establish itself as one of the key trainers for FTSE100 companies. My research project for them assisted with finding out the best ways in which they could get to the decision makers who were those who signed off payments for training within their organisation.
Additional experience taking an MBA included group work and giving presentations. I have also worked for prestigious government organisations, and have extensive experience working in cross-cultural settings (Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong) and education contexts.

Training Methods:

Experience teaching English, French and China in Taiwan and UK, and instrumental role played in setting up of joint ventures in Shanghai and UK. All of these companies which I have assisted from start-up stage have grown into multi-million pound international organisations. My training methods are based on being well-prepared, patient and helpful, and am happy to work on materials required to achieve learning objectives. I have previously taught exam preparation and MBA preparation programmes, so am experienced in understanding clients' needs, and preparing the most suitable programme for all learners within the group accordingly. I am also used to teaching mixed ability classes, and work with each individual, even in a group setting, to ensure that everyone gets the best out of my lessons.
