Spelling Star – the new family TV Show is looking for a UK Spelling Star!
Children learn to spell in the same way that they learn to read; through developmental stages. And naturally some children progress faster than others. Is your child such a spelling star?
If so from the producers of Pointless and The Million Pound Drop comes an exciting new TV show for Sky 1...
If you think your child has what it takes to take part in some fun spelling games and challenges and spell some big words then Spelling Star is the way to go.
Your child will need to be aged between 9 and 13, have a passion for spelling, a love of words and enjoy a challenge! The programme will follow a number of children as they take on different word-based competition rounds including speed spelling, identifying incorrectly spelled words, clue-based questions and relay-style challenges!
Spelling Star is a warm-hearted family show celebrating brilliant and amazing children at their very best. The show aims to provide these children with a valuable educational experience whilst promoting their reading and literacy skills. The show will also encourage the children to engage in some healthy competition within a supportive and friendly studio environment.
The application process is in three parts and will include a spelling and grammar test for your child to take alone. It is also important to note that if your child is selected, parents must be happy to be in front of the camera as they will also be on the show! To apply, go to:
