Information About William - Eastleigh teacher
This is how 2 referees rated William:
Acting / Drama
I have been acting and performing since the age of six and am quite a familiar face in the Hampshire theatre scene. Whilst I was studying at Sixth Form College I decided that I would try and go for my dream of becoming a professional actor and started auditioning for Drama Schools. I was delighted to be unconditionally offered degree courses from two Drama UK Accredited Drama Schools, East 15 and The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, (ALRA). I was also humbled to be offered a bursary from The Mayflower Theatre, Southampton to cover some of the costs of training.
Since leaving drama school I have been working full time in the industry as an actor. My credits include: Mr Banks in Blue Stockings (Mill at the Pier Theatre, Manchester), Ginger in Jerusalem (Mill at the Pier Theatre, Manchester), Dame Widow Twanky in Aladdin (UK Tour), Prowdy in Destination Success (UK Tour), The Man in DaDa House (Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich), Luke in Wish List (Hippodrome Theatre, London), Aidan in O&C (UK Tour) and Theo in There is a War (Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester).
In 2016, I had the privilege of working with the multiple Olivier Award winning RSC director, David Thacker on his production of An Enemy of the People at Bolton Octagon Theatre. I have also had the privilege to work with renowned playwrights such as Jim Cartwright and John Godber. I am an ex member of the British Academy of Dramatic Combat and still hold a Level One Award in Stage Combat.
As a side-line to my acting work I currently teach acting, drama and audition technique privately in the UK and abroad. I also sit on audition panels for theatre companies and performing arts schools. I started teaching privately in 2016 after numerous people approached me for lessons on all aspects of drama from LAMDA Exam preparation to Drama School auditions.
I have full Public Liability Insurance and hold multiple current DBS Certificates. I am also a full member of Equity UK **Removed By Admin** Please do not contact my agent and instead contact me directly for any work in relation to tuition, thank you.
The vast majority of my teaching work has been private tuition. Although I have taught at performing arts schools like The Pauline Quirke Academy in Southport and the KZU in Switzerland. I have been an on set acting coach for ADBV Media in their short films and I am currently tutoring Winchester University students as they prepare to audition for MA courses at Drama Schools.
In my opinion, teaching has to be personalised in the arts to achieve success. The problem when you are taught drama at school or college is the sheer number of other students. This makes it virtually impossible to spot specific details in each performer that need refinement. In an industry where the chances of success are so weighed against you, specialist and personalised advice could be the difference. I believe that I can offer you up to date, industry tested, professional and affordable tuition. Whether its an audition or an exam Ill give you the best advice possible to help you achieve your goals.
