I’ve built my career in a variety of roles, mostly in education where I was not just an art instructor, I was also a learning mentor, artist in residence and art technician, I have also covered maternity leave for A Level Art classes, all in which I thrived in an environment where no two days are the same.
I have a good understanding of art and endeavour to connect people with the importance of art.
I am qualified to a first degree in fine art and have worked in a school for the past 9 years supporting the art department and following art educational values.
I have experience in planning schemes of work for the students and I also have years of experience supporting students who have social and emotional needs and working closely with them to raise their target grades on a one to one bases.
In my responsibilities in the school I have planned and delivered art classes for the local community and A level students. I have liaised with local artists to run outreach activities for groups of art students.
I have 9 years experience working in a secondary school, I currently teach key stage 3 and 4 but i have also got experience in teaching all key stages up to A Level Art.
I can teach for fun or to support pupils GCSE or A level work, I can work in collaboration with teachers based needs/ curriculum and class projects.
I can also do creative play with babies and toddlers, using sensory play.
I support students on the Autism spectrum &SEND.
