Information About Sarah - Wimborne teacher
I am a textiles artist and teacher working in Dorset, South West of England. I undertake commissions for theatres, museums and arts events, home tutor students and run workshops at schools and festivals. From 2014, I also became a moderator of A Level Textiles Technology for the AQA Examination Board.
2013-present: Teacher of Textiles at Parkstone Grammar School, Poole, Dorset. I lead and teach key stages 3-5 Textiles Technology, years 7-13. Results are outstanding; 100% A*-C.
2012-2013:Freelance Artist/Teacher for The Art Garden after school club at primary schools in Bournemouth, Dorset.
2007-2011: Head of Textiles at The Purbeck School, Wareham, Dorset. I led and taught key stages 3-5 Textiles Technology, and taught A level Art and Design. I was also co-ordinator of the Extended Project Qualification. Results were outstanding every year; above eighty percent A*-C. In 2010, they were 100% A*-C.
2009: Teacher of English Language for .Home International Ltd.
I am passionate about all things textiles! … I have very high expectations of both myself and students. I encourage students to aim high, and ensure that they always take a creative approach which is both experimental and challenging.
