Information About Rebecca - Boston teacher
Acting / Drama
I was part of the family business, **Removed By Admin**, where I directed and choreographed many shows and performed in professional plays and musicals. I worked extensively as a freelance acting coach and choreographer. have taught the LAMDA syllabus for over 25 years and now examine for LAMDA in centres around the country.
I am an experienced Speech and Drama tutor having gained my Licentiate and Associate Acting Diplomas from LAMDA. I also hold a BTDA Dance Teachers Diploma. I have been LAMDA centre co-ordinator in four schools in the Leicestershire area, entering my own and other tutors students for these varied and interesting exams. I have also helped students through their drama school audition preparation. I can teach on a one to one basis or in small groups. I prefer to set targets for my students, for example - taking a LAMDA examination or working towards an important public speaking event.
I prefer to look at myself as a guide, helping my students reach their potential and gain confidence in public speaking and acting. The most enjoyable part of my job is learning through my students by tailoring each lesson to suit each individual. I try not to have a rigid approach to teaching and love looking for new, adventurous ways of interpreting texts and characters. This includes listening to the ideas of my students and trying to incorporate them into the rehearsal. I like my students to have a goal to work towards as this fosters commitment and a strong work ethic.
