Personal Description:

My background is mainly in theatre. I trained as an actor first at East 15 Acting School, before finishing my training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I have worked as an actor in theatre, film, and corporate and educational settings, and I have also directed a few plays.

I have been teaching now for 10 years, a mixture of private tuition and working in schools. I also run my own workshops for acting techniques, scene study, and performing Shakespeare.

What drives me is connecting with other human beings through creativity, which is why I am drawn to teaching the creative arts. I also love language learning, and enjoy helping speakers of other languages to communicate more effectively in English.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring throughout my acting career, and more seriously over the last five years, mainly private acting coaching and preparation for LAMDA exams.

I have also been teaching LAMDA in a private UK school since 2023, with a very high success rate.

In 2024, I decided to train to teach English as a secondary language, and obtained a CELTA qualification.

Teaching Approach:

I'm an actor, director, and acting coach. I teach mainly from my own experience and specialise in LAMDA exams and drama school audition technique.

I also teach general acting technique, and can help you with accents, audition prep, self-tapes, public speaking, or anything that needs an outside eye to help you figure out how you are coming across.

My lessons are designed to be enjoyable, as I feel like the best learning environments are safe, encouraging, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you are able to do your best work.

I also teach beginner guitar and English as a secondary language, and I tailor these lessons to your goals and ability.
