Information About Isabel - Cranbrook teacher

Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Isabel, a professional working actress, singer and Performing Arts teacher, dedicated to helping students explore their creativity and find confidence in the arts. I graduated from the University of Exeter with a First in BA English and Drama, and have Distinctions in both Grade 8 LAMDA and Grade 8 Singing. I trained at Italia Conti Associates for ten years before this too. My professional experience in a variety of acting projects, combined with my love for teaching, makes me a versatile teacher who is also ready to learn from my students.

Teaching Experience:

I have been professionally teaching LAMDA and the performing arts (including acting, musical theatre, tap, jazz and singing) for over a year since graduating, and I have been a professional actor since 2023. I also have experience as a vocal coach. I have taught acting and the performing arts to students aged 4-18, and all with different learning methods and skillsets!

Teaching Approach:

There are two main rules to acting and drama in my lessons: there is no wrong, and have fun! Acting takes a lot of bravery, so I like to focus on helping with confidence and playfulness, which brings the best to a performance. Actors used to be known as 'players', so that's what we will be! Whilst helping with techniques for script analysis, character prep and performance, I aim to find the methods that work best for students as individuals to reach your goals, whether that be to start a career in the arts or to boost your exam grades.
