Personal Description:

I am a teacher, researcher, and visual artist working in installation, drawing, and photography. I have tutored students in a variety of art subjects such as drawing, design, art history, geometry, professional practices, portfolio preparation, and web design. I have a flexible approach to learning and tailor each lesson for the student's individual needs.

I am currently finishing a practice-based PhD in Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT Portugal).
I hold an AHRC-funded MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (2013) and recently completed an Artist Residency at Croydon College of Art. Previously, I completed a BA Fine art in Faculty of Fine Arts Lisbon, in Portugal. I specialized in sculpture, and digital media (Photoshop and Final Cut Pro).

I am a fluent speaker of English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 5 years of experience teaching in several settings, from preparing and delivering short-courses at universities to working with special needs children and adults with autism and various learning disabilities.
I recently worked with the Master of Research students as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Glasgow School of Art, and with the Sculpture and Environmental Art department. I worked with 3rd year BA students at Croydon College of Art (2014), and I was an Associa**Contact Detail Removed**cturer at Central Saint Martins (2012). I have experience in several special needs schools as a teaching assistant and I have taught professional practices for artists at Lisbon and Porto University.

I tutored regularly over the years from nursery to adults and casual learners. I am specialized in Drawing, Studio Art, Design, History of Art, Web design, Professional Practices for artists, and Portfolio Preparation.

Teaching Approach:

I specially enjoy seeing my tutees evolve, develop their skills, learn and overcome challenges. I am passionate about interdisciplinary and combining different areas of expertise and I place a strong emphasis on the process of making.
