Personal Description:

Hannah graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with Distinction in 2017. Her acting career began with the Royal Exchange Young Company and the National Youth Theatre. She is a very energetic and imaginative performer who proudly relishes her part in any ensemble. Her ability to think creatively about subtleties and nuances allows her to achieve great freedom and versatility as an actor.

A competent classical actor, Hannah has received extensive training in Shakespeare. Notable Shakespearean credits include: Puck in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'; Lady Macbeth in 'Macbeth'; and Luciana in 'The Comedy of Errors'.

Other skills include: clowning, traditional folk singing, the bodhran, the concertina, and the mandolin.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring since 2013. I have worked with groups and one-on-one sessions teaching English language, English Literature, Religious Education, Creative Writing, Spanish, and Theatre Studies (ages 7-17). I also volunteered for two years as a teaching assistant to a drama teacher for children aged 6-15.

This year I helped my 18 year old pupil get into the drama school of her dreams!

Teaching Approach:

I strive to tailor my lessons to the pupil's interests and have found this to be very rewarding i.e. someone who does not like to analyse poetry may find analysing lyrics to their favourite song a nice and easy introduction.I generally prefer to begin by recapping on the last lesson, and then move onto a simple warm up exercise before spending 40 minutes on the main task, with a five minute summation game.
