Information About Freya - Edinburgh teacher

Personal Description:

I am a recent graduate from the college of art at the University of Edinburgh, where I studied Art BA (Hons). I joined art school as part of the painting department. Then later moved to study in the school's intermedia department where I graduated with a first-class degree. I have a passion for all the expressive arts but my skills lie mainly in photography, drawing and painting. I am also skilled in video and photo editing software and can offer lessons in photoshop if required.

I will help tutees to develop their aptitude in these areas at all levels and will encourage tutees each lesson to nurture their talent.

Teaching Experience:

I have run several drop-in workshops, with one held as part of an exhibition programme at Summerhall gallery. In addition to workshop tutoring, I have experience in teaching classes in both Dunbar Primary and as a teacher at an English speaking summer school in Lake Como, Italy.

Teaching Approach:

I am a patient and enthusiastic person, whose teaching style aims to build confidence and encourage tutees to realise their potential in each subject. I offer classes in the fundamental skills in each area for beginners going up to portfolio preparation classes for those applying to art school- or anyone enthusiastic about art looking to develop their skills.
