Information About Dyane - Bishop Auckland teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Dyane:
I am friendly, approachable and flexible. I work very much with the individual to create a personalised learning plan for you. I have loved sewing since I learnt on my nana's knee, by 14 I was selling my cushion covers in a local craft shop. By 18 I had a Btec in Art and Design, with a focus on textiles then went on to Jacob Kranmer College to study clothing manufacture and managment. Since then I have had almost 30 years sewing experiance inc running a cloth nappy company and a clothing alterations business.
Over the years I have taught individuals and groups basic sewing skills and batik in both UK and Canada.
I am currently studying my PGCE and have completed the first year. Equivalent to both the PTLLS and DTTLs teaching qualifications.
My placement is at a special needs high school, teaching the textiles section of a FE Certificate in Craft.
Mostly I tutor evenings and weekends, as I teach elsewhere 3 days a week. However there is some availibility during the daytime too.
I am friendly, approachable and flexible. I work very much with the individual to create a personalised learning plan for you. Essentially whatever you want to acheive with sewing, whether its to get to grips with your sewing machine, learn how to alter your own clothes, help you with a sewing project, or support you in a textiles qualification, I will teach / guide you in doing this to acheive your aim. You can join me for one session, or as many sessions as suits you 3 sessions or more gets a reduced rate:-)
