Information About Dorine - Herne Bay teacher - (1 review)
This is how 3 referees rated Dorine:
Technologist with a passion for sharing Digital Art with kids, young people and anyone who loves to craft and make stuff. I run a small digital studio in Hersden Canterbury working with children and their families to funnel our children’s passion for their iPads into creating art and 3D sculptures using our Drawit.clubs Glowforge laser cutter.
I’ve been supporting youth within a digital context since 2005, helping kids and young people to learn to code. I also created the youth zone at the London Mozilla annual festival that saw young people invited to come share their passion as youth led workshops with each other and our wider adult audience (2013-2016). More recently I’ve turned my attention to Digital Art as my daughter’s (age 12) skills in digital art is now sufficiently advanced for her to also start sharing with other youngsters. Together we are tutoring in Art, design and technology while building her Art DT scholarship portfolio at the same time. Teaching the step by step process of how to draw and make stuff in general. More specifically using our drawit.club Glowforge laser cutter, digital electronics, iPads, Microsoft surface pro, ibisPaint, and Adobe illustrator as our baby steps to advanced suit of digital maker tools.
We strongly advocate for skill based learning and aim to help you or your young person to become an independent learners so progression at home becomes possible.
