Information About Deirdre - Ballymena teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Deirdre:
I have been crafting since I was a very small child and this initial interest in embroidery very quickly expanded into the related crafts of jewellery-making (especially seed-beading) and card-making. I sell hand-made jewellery locally and undertake commission work as well.
I have encouraged my children to learn with me and all of them (including my son!) are becoming accomplished crafters in their own right. Indeed, they are winning awards at local shows on a regular basis.
I am an enthusiastic and accomplished home cook and undertake commisison work for cake decoration and catering.
I am currently completing a PGCE and have tutored previously. I have worked with children also through orgainsations such as Common Purpose and local Mums and Tots groups so I am well-versed in working with all age groups
I take an indivdual one-to-one approach, with patience and attention to detail as my trade marks. I firmly believe that if you make something by hand it must be enjoyable and fun and this will encourage you to acheive ever- higher standards of work.
I would ask that 24 hours notice of cancellation is given otherwise a 50% charge will be levied to cover my costs.
I will supply basic requirements on the day and will inform you in advance of any extras that you will need, such as scissors, materials and special beads or threads.
I am happy to tutor adults or children. Children will be charged at £10 per hour rather than £15.
I will take groups of up to FOUR. This allows me to ensure you all receive individual attention. For groups I charge 50% per each extra person.
i will make a small additional charge if you wish me to travel to your home or craft group
