Personal Description:

I am a dynamic and professional teacher specialising in Textiles, Fashion and Clothing. I have excellent communication skills and have a passion for sharing my skills and knowledge with others. I find tutoring extremely fulfilling and enjoy teaching individuals of all ages. Over the years I have taught hundreds of people to sew and construct garments. I have a range of sewing skills and can make anything from simple cushion covers to a bridal dress to a menswear tailored jacket.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for 8 years. During this time I have taught formally in Secondary Education and Further Education (College level). I have taught across GCSE, A-Level and BTEC courses. My subject specialisms are Design Technology, Textiles, Fashion and Clothing and Art and Design.
I also have 5 years experience of successfully tutoring all ages in practical workshops. During these workshops I taught sewing, dressmaking and fashion construction skills.

Teaching Approach:

I am confident in teaching practical skills to both small groups and on a 1-to-1 basis. I love tutoring because you can tailor your skills and the learning to meet the individual students needs to ensure they get the most out of each session. I enjoy building professional relationships and watching individuals flourish as their skills progress.
