Information About Charlotte - Croydon teacher

Personal Description:

Hello my name is Lottie I currently teach handwork (knitting,crochet, embroidery, textiles) at a Steiner/Waldorf school. I teach children from ages 7-17.
I am passionate about teaching through stories, rhymes and songs and generally bringing a sense of wonder to children's worlds. I believe in the healing properties of craft for all, especially those with SEN.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching in my school for a year and also working at holiday camps leading activities for primary aged children. I also worked in print for 8 years training apprentices from the age of 17 onwards for four years.

Teaching Approach:

Gentle and holistic. Learning a creative skill gives opportunity to also practice maths, problem solving and emotional regulation skills as we work. I teach children and adults using rhymes, songs and hands on learning approaches to gradually build up their skills, nurturing their self confidence and creativity along the way.
