Information About Camilla - Lancaster teacher
This is how 4 referees rated Camilla:
I am passionate about teaching Art and enjoy finding creative inspirational opportunities when working with students. That is, encouraging students to search for ways to express themselves and to find their own special skills.
I love keeping up to date with all the new initiatives in Art and I am an Examiner for BTEC Art. I am versatile in a range of different media. Painting: watercolour and acrylic. Fine drawing skills and I enjoy having a Mixed media approach in drawing and encourage working in different media. Textile techniques and I am sure we could access a printing press for Printing techniques.
I have worked as Head of Art for over 10 years and achieved successful results with students.
I have taught a number of different Art courses and believe my favourite course is the A-level course A-level Fine Art or Painting or Textiles and the GCSE Art and Design course.
I have taught for over 10 years in high achieving schools in South Africa, UK, China and the UAE. I have also taught the International GCSE and worked with foreign students and consult with Chinese students doing A-Level Art. I have tutored A-level Art and GCSE students before and always had successful results.
I have also experience with teaching the IB system and the matriculation system. I have also taught History of Art as a separate subject.
I have also taught Art at a primary school and enjoy working with Crafts and know the importance of encouraging exploration of materials and can offer Art and Craft classes to encourage free-expression.
I am easy to work with as I enjoy finding out what strengths and skills my students excel in when working and find it important to look for skills when working with different materials. I firstly encourage a wide number of exploratory techniques in Art but also have a sound Fine Art training and understand the importance of polish and professionality and believe I have an ability to encourage students to find what they do well and enjoy in Art.
I also believe I am versatile as I majored in Printmaking but have developed a passion for painting, fine illustration and textiles. I am also able to use Photoshop and understand how important it is to explore different ways to develop ideas.
