Acting / Drama
I am Masters Student at the Central School of Speech and Drama. My background is Fine Arts and Drama since early in Secodary school. My passion drove me to continue this study in University and after. My knowledge of Arts nad research knowledge is extensified when I was a part-time, then sponsored resident writer, researcher and information architect of the Education Publishing House which prepares materials for high school students, making information easy to understand and remember through visuals and colours and bite-sized sentences. The effectiveness of the products are constantly researched upon and tested. This is then translated to my approach with students.
This approach is also used in teaching art and drama, which have been a passion of my life. My past working experiences besides teaching include the setting up of my own publishing company. The books published included a children's book which I wrote, illustrated and edited. This is to create an awareness of Sensory Processing disorder in kids, the problems which their parents face and how we as a society can be a pillar of support.
I have been teaching for the past 5 years, and drawing and painting, alongside drama and writing are my passion.
I believe the arts has to come from passion, yet backed up by fine technique. One can have talent, which is extremely important, what comes next is the desire, and then the discipline and drive to refine one's technique. My approach is to inspire one in passion and encourage one in self trust. Whatever the problem, I enter it by breaking it ito easy bite size steps, so that it is a very fun process for both the student and me.
