Information About Katie - Redhill teacher

Personal Description:

For over 10 years I have taught Art and Photography in secondary schools and colleges. I have also been Deputy Head of House for 6 years.
 
I am creative, inspiring and determined both professionally and personally, and I have an excellent academic background.
 
I specialise in oil painting and life drawing and have travelled Europe on drawing location trips.
 
Additionally I teach Martial arts and fitness for children and hold a Brown Belt in Kung Fu.

Teaching Experience:

From Summer schools and individual tuition to large school classes, I have taught Art and Photography in many different settings.
 
Through my role as Deputy Head of House I have worked in pastoral care and with those with special educational needs.
 
In schools I have taught Years 7 -13 Art and Photography and have a wealth of experience at KS3, GCSE and A level.
 
I guide portfolio preparation for foundation courses and degree, contextual studies for art essays and teach life drawing classes.

I promote an active and practical approach to artwork and always lead by example. We work together to meet coursework and exam requirements for your schools and colleges and use homework to enhance independent learning and support tutoring sessions.
